Dear mr. Kluge, dear mrs. Brickman, dear mrs. De Kat-Reynen,
This mail concerns the problem of the treatment of patients with Covid-19 virus and gives you information about the possibility of using Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) also called Photobiomodulation (PBM) for the treatment of patients with Covid-19 virus.
I am not a doctor but a lawyer. In the past I personally had several experiences with Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT)/Photobiomodulation (PBM) for several diseases and injuries. For that reason I studied this therapy for years now and read and collected a lot of scientific publications on this therapy. I have found several specific scientific publications regarding treatment of different lung diseases with LLLT.
Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) or Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a non invasive treatment without side effects that exists for 60 years now. This therapy works on the cellular level of human tissue or human organs by stimulating the mitochondria of the cells. And through that stimulation the cellular defense of cells and organs against a virus or infection will be enforced. This therapy also has positive results on several lung diseases. I have enclosed 6 scientific articles regarding the use of LLLT on lung diseases. I also have enclosed 2 general scientific articles on the general basics of LLLT. I am convinced LLLT could be a very effective therapy for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
In 2018 a group of scientists published a Handbook on many important aspects of LLLT with the title Low-Level Light Therapy: Photobiomodulation. An important author of that Handbook is professor Michal Hamblin who works at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine. That Center is connected with Massachusetts General Hospital en Harvard Medical School in the United States of America. Several other authors of Universities and scientific institutes have written parts of this book. The link to the Handbook is:
In the past I had contacts about this therapy with M.D Lutz Wilden (PhD) from Germany who treated patients during 30 years wilt LLLT. Also patients with lung diseases. He is willing to advice the WHO about wavelengths, dosages, strength of the light et.c It is important to apply the therapy with the right wavelengths, dosages and strength!
I can give the WHO a lot more information if the WHO is interested in investigating the possibilities and results of using LLLT for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.
Knowing that there is no effective treatment until now I find a duty of the WHO to investigate this therapy for the treatment of Covid-19 patients as soon as possible. I also have send a similar mail to the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in The Hague.
I invested time in informing the WHO about this therapy int the interest of many (very) sick people and I would therefore appreciate a reaction of the WHO on this email.
With kind regards,
Wim P.T. van de Ven LL.M.
